Election Night, Nov. 8, 2016- Owners Ali, Turkish, and Menbe, Ethiopian, prepare for opening night at the C Flat, their new jazz club. Lou, once a jazz singer, got caught up in prostitution and dubious husbands. Her daughter takes her on a last tour of clubs she may have sung in, A jazz promoter arrives with Nuray, a Kazkhstani singer who survived the death boats across the Mediterranean. Trump supporters laugh at the worried jazz lovers when election results come in. The tragedy is just beginning.
